The Western Winter Badminton Tournament is just around the corner! The tournament will be happening over the entire weekend. Come down and enjoy a weekend of badminton!

Events/Dates:
Open Singles (Men/Women): Friday March 22nd 6:00PM - 9:45PM
Men's Doubles & Women's Doubles: Saturday March 23rd 10:00am - 4:00pm
Mixed Doubles: Sunday March 24th 11:00am - 7:00pm

Location:
Western Student Recreation Centre (Fri-Sat)
Althouse Gym (Sunday)


Parking:
Free Parking is available at the Elborn Lot from Friday at 4pm. (Just across from Recreation Centre/Althouse Gym)

Format:
ABCD Drop Flight System: Open Singles, Mens Doubles, Mixed Doubles
Double Elimination: Women's Doubles
All matches will be rally point scoring system, best of 3 games to 21 points.

Shuttles:
Qualification: Mavis 350 Shuttlecocks
A Flight: 2 feather birds (Li-Ning A+ 80 Feather Birds) will be provided for every match. Additional feather birds must be provided by the players.
For BCD Flights, Mavis 350 plastic shuttlecocks will be provided, and feather birds are permitted if provided by the players.

Prizes & Raffle:
Over$1200 spent on Prizes and Raffle Items!!
Prizes will be awarded to all Flight Winners/Finalists!
Additionally, all participants will be entered in a draw for all raffle items including a Li-Ning badminton racket and much more!

Dress Code:
Respectable Badminton Attire

Food:
Pizza will be provided for lunch on Saturday
Light snacks will be provided on Sunday

Entry Fee (for any number of events):
Western Badminton Club Members: $5
Non-Members: $15

Registration Begins Wednesday March 6th and ends on Wednesday March 20th!!!

Non-Western Participants:
Please be advised that there will be a gym entrance fee of $9.04 that lasts for the whole weekend.

Western/London Participants ONLY:
You can either pay online or in person at the Front Desk of the Student Recreation Centre.


If you have a partner for doubles, BOTH PLAYERS must submit a registration form and pay for the tournament before their entry is confirmed.
