Position: Insurance Account Representative Type: Full Time

Position Overview:

Successful Desjardins Agent is seeking a qualified professional to join their growing team for the role of Insurance Account Representative - Desjardins Agent Team Member. We seek an energetic professional interested in servicing our customers and helping our business continue to grow through value-based conversations and remarkable customer experience. Responsibilities:

• Quote leads that call in/walk in/referred to our office, as well as develop new leads.

• Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service to our existing customers. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance coverages, policy changes, policy reviews, claim submissions and billing clarification.

Requirements:

• Fluent in Mandarin and English, Cantonese is an asset

• General Insurance Exam must be passed prior to start, and requirements for sponsorship of license must be met

• Life License Exam to be passed within 3 months of hire, course and exam fee to be paid for by Agent

• Sales experience an asset but not required

• High Integrity

• Team oriented

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and listening

• Proactive in problem-solving

• Dedicated to a high level of customer service

• Ability to multi-task

Compensation: $35,000 Annual Salary, plus Commissions and Annual Production Bonus; after 60 days probation, benefits are offered as well as 3 weeks vacation annually.

This position is with an Independent Contractor Agent that is part of the Desjardins Exclusive Agent Network, not with Desjardins Group or its subsidiaries. This Agents’ employees are not employees of Desjardins. Independent Contractor Agents are responsible for and make all employment decisions regarding their employees.
